The expert talk by Dr. P. Satyanarayana, a retired Senior Scientist from DRDO, held on February 12, 2024, at the University Seminar Hall, was a highly informative session organized by the Department of Physics, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and aimed at B.Tech. CSE, CSE(AIML), and CSE(DS) students, the talk provided an in-depth look at the advancements and applications of sensor technologies and optoelectronic devices. Dr. Satyanarayana discussed the principles, mechanisms, and advancements in various sensors and MEMS technology, emphasizing their transformative impact on autonomous vehicles, IoT, and healthcare sectors. He highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration for developing precise and sensitive sensors, engaging the audience with an interactive discussion that explored both the potential and challenges of these technologies. The event successfully enhanced participants' understanding and inspired further exploration into the field.
