M.P.T. – Master of Physiotherapy

The Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) is a 2-year postgraduate degree designed for students who have completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT). MPT falls under the category of the School of Health Sciences, which focuses on physical therapy, which is intended to enhance a patient's physical capabilities. Together with other medical services that collaborate closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals, the Master's in Physiotherapy is regarded as a primary care treatment.

MPT course aims to train professionals. They will learn to assess, diagnose, and treat physical ailments and disabilities. They will use therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other techniques. Specializations Offered:

1. M.P.T. - Neurology: This branch focuses on the evaluation and management of patients with neurological disorders, including stroke, spinal cord injury, and multiple sclerosis.
2. M.P.T. - Sports & Orthopaedics: Sports physiotherapy focuses on the prevention, assessment and post management of sport-related injuries. This also gives the students the knowledge of specializing in post-coronary, coronary/valvular and pulmonary diseases, including cardiac and respiratory disease and therapy.
3. M.P.T. - Cardiovascular & Pulmonary: This also gives the students the knowledge of specializing in post-coronary, coronary/valvular and pulmonary diseases, including cardiac and respiratory disease and therapy.
4. M.P.T. - Masculoskeletal Sciences: Focuses on the assessment and management of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, enhancing mobility and function through manual therapy, exercise, and evidence-based rehabilitation.
5. M.P.T. - Community based Rehabilitation: Provides therapy for patients prolonged treatments with disabilities, and post-surgical recovery.

Eligibility

Passed with at least 45% (40% in case the candidates belong to reserved category) marks in BPT.
