Aurora University proudly commemorated the 77th Republic Day of India with great patriotism and solemnity on campus. The celebration began with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by the Hon鈥檅le Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Srilatha Chepure, setting a dignified and inspiring tone for the occasion. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, uniting the gathering in a shared spirit of national pride and unity.
Addressing the faculty, staff, and students, Dr. Srilatha Chepure spoke eloquently on the significance of the Indian Constitution and emphasized the duties and responsibilities of individuals in nation-building. She highlighted the importance of self-responsibility, ethical conduct, and accountability, urging everyone to strive towards becoming better professionals and responsible employees, thereby contributing meaningfully to society and the nation.
During her address, the Vice-Chancellor also announced the First Convocation of Aurora University, scheduled to be held on 31st January, marking a historic milestone for the university. The convocation will honor the achievements of the university鈥檚 postgraduate students, celebrating their academic excellence and successful completion of their programs.
Adding a special significance to the occasion, students from the School of Law presented the Vice-Chancellor with a memento depicting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar presenting the Indian Constitution to the Parliament, symbolizing the enduring values of democracy, justice, and constitutional governance. The gesture was received with great appreciation and stood as a meaningful tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution.
The 77th Republic Day Celebrations at Aurora University served as a powerful reminder of the ideals enshrined in the Constitution and reinforced the university鈥檚 commitment to nurturing responsible citizens, ethical professionals, and future leaders of the nation.
